Reflection on article related to ICT
Title: Significance of ICT in education. by Dr. Radhika Kapur.
ICT,
or Information and Communication Technology, holds immense significance in
education today. It revolutionizes the way students learn and teachers teach by
providing a wide range of benefits. One notable advantage of ICT is its ability
to grant access to a vast pool of information and educational resources
available online. This accessibility enables students and teachers to explore
various subjects, conduct research, and stay updated with the latest knowledge.
Collaboration and communication are also enhanced through ICT. Students and teachers can connect and work together seamlessly, regardless of geographical barriers. This fosters collaboration, teamwork, and effective communication skills, preparing students for the globalized and interconnected world they will face in their future endeavors.
ICT also enables personalized learning experiences. With the help of educational software and online platforms, students can receive tailored instruction based on their individual strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences. This personalized approach helps students progress at their own pace and ensures that their specific needs are met, leading to better learning outcomes.
In
conclusion, ICT plays a vital role in education by providing access to
information, facilitating interactive learning experiences, promoting
collaboration and communication, and enabling personalized learning. By
leveraging the power of ICT, educators can create an engaging and effective
learning environment that equips students with the necessary skills for success
in the digital age. Embracing ICT in education is not just a necessity but a
powerful tool to shape the future of learning.

Reflection on the use of ICT educational tools in teaching and learning.
ICT tools have revolutionized
education by providing easy access to information, making learning more
engaging through interactive apps and games, and fostering critical thinking
and problem-solving skills. These tools also allow for personalized learning,
enabling students to learn at their own pace and collaborate with others through online.
Additionally, they have
expanded opportunities for communication and global collaboration, preparing
students for the interconnected world they will encounter in their future
careers.
However, it is important to
address challenges such as the digital divide, ensuring equal access to
technology, and providing proper training and support for teachers to
effectively integrate ICT tools into their teaching practices. Despite these
challenges, the benefits of ICT tools in education are undeniable, as they have
the potential to create dynamic and meaningful learning experiences that cater
to diverse learning styles, enhance student engagement, and foster the
development of essential 21st-century skills.
Overall, the use of ICT tools
in teaching and learning has transformed education, making it more accessible,
interactive, effective, and aligned with the demands of the digital age

Critical analysis of learning experiences
Diverse set
of ICT tools to communicate, create, disseminate, store, and manage
information. In some contexts, ICT has also become integral to the
teaching-learning interaction, through such approaches as replacing chalkboards
with interactive digital whiteboards, using students’ own smartphones or other
devices for learning during class time, and the “flipped classroom” model where
students watch lectures at home on the computer and use classroom time for more
interactive exercises.
When
teachers are digitally literate and trained to use ICT, these approaches can
lead to higher order thinking skills, provide creative and individualized
options for students to express their understandings, and leave students better
prepared to deal with ongoing technological change in society and the
workplace. ICT can provide diverse options
for taking in and processing information, making sense of ideas, and expressing
learning. Over 87% of students learn best through visual and tactile
modalities, and ICT can help these students ‘experience’ the information
instead of just reading and hearing it. Mobile devices can also offer
programmes (“apps”) that provide extra support to students with special needs,
with features such as simplified screens and instructions, consistent placement
of menus and control features, graphics combined with text, audio feedback,
ability to set pace and level of difficulty, appropriate and unambiguous
feedback, and easy error correction.

Memorial Chorten
If I share the brief history of this chorten, The Memorial Chorten which is located in Thimphu was conceived by Thinley Norbu Rinpoche (1931–2011),according to the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It was erected in 1974 in memory of Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, 3rd Druk Gyalpo, who had died in 1972. It is a prominent landmark in the city with its golden spires and bells. In 2008, it underwent extensive renovation. It is popularly known as "the most visible religious landmark in Bhutan".

Buddha Point.
Inside of Thimphu’s 169 foot Buddha Dordenma statue, there are 125,000 miniature Buddhas encapsulated inside of its enlightened bronze chest, ranging from 8 to 12 inches tall. This means that in Thimphu, which has a population of around 100,000, there are more Buddhas than there are human beings.Like the large Buddha, these thousands of miniature Buddhas are also gilded and made of bronze, a major reason that the statue cost almost $100 million to build when it was constructed in 2015 to honor the 60th birthday of Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the fourth king of Bhutan.
The statue also fulfils two prophecies. The first, foreseen by yogi Sonam Sangpo, is that a Buddhist statue would be built in the region to “bestow blessings, peace, and happiness to the whole world.” In addition, the statue is said to have been mentioned by Guru Padmasambhava, widely referred to as the “second Buddha,” in the eighth century. This statue kills two birds with one stone by fulfilling both prophecies in glimmering fashion.

Dechenphu Lhakhang.
Dechenphu lhakhang is not only a sacred place but also the most important place of the protector deity for the followers of Drukpa Kargyu. The Dechenphu lhakhang was especially dedicated to Geynyen Jagpa Melen from a very long time ago.
Besides the Neykhang at Dechenphu, there are seven Neykhangs of Geynyen: Samye Chinphu, Tisi in Joe Ngari, Puri in Tsari Kongpo, Dueyul Khura Gogu, Monyul Dungla Kar, Tsenyon Zangthang Marpo and Drug Ralung. But Dechenphu is the only one with such an old and well structured lhakhang. Phajo Drugom's son Dampa constructed the Dechenphu lhakhang and became the first chief abbot.

Rice plant.
I took this photo on the way, while I was heading towards the class. A beautifully grown rice across the field. Rice is the most common food consume daily in our country. As per the local they usually start the plantation when the spring is about to end, after every month they have to do the weeding until its time for the harvest.
We as a Bhutanese we still practice such culture in some of the villages. Rice cultivation provides practical knowledge about agriculture, including planting techniques, crop management and etc. Growing rice exposes individuals to environmental issues and encourages sustainable practices. Rice is a stable food for a significant portion of the world's population and place a crucial role in many cultures and traditions.
